Helping Businesses in Baltimore - Jennifer Gunner of the Greater Baltimore Tech Council

May 16, 2008 :: Shashi Bellamkonda

I met Jennifer Gunner of the Greater Baltimore Tech Council first at the SocialDevCamp held in Baltimore on May10th. The Tech Council and Network Solutions sponsored the event. The Tech Council is very active in getting their membership acquainted with new technologies, and I had a chance to discuss and brainstorm with Jennifer ideas for a Social Media Session that the GBTC is planning. As we waited for the rest of the participants to arrive I had a video interview with Jennifer, which you can see here: http://qik.com/video/77828.

Here is Jennifer’s description of GBTC’s activities.

The Greater Baltimore Technology Council is devoted to one goal: growing the region’s technology community. The GBTC asks technology companies what do they need to grow, and stimulates this growth by providing innovative programming where organizations meet, learn, and do business. The GBTC also celebrates the community’s successes, spreading the word that technology businesses thrive in the greater Baltimore region
We strive to be the connection point between organizations and individuals to help them create and sustain trusted connections. Through these connections, businesses are started, changed, improved, or grown which in turn stimulates and grows the greater Baltimore’s economy and region.
