Kristina Bouweiri, CEO of Reston Limo, is another panelist for Thursday’s GrowSmartBusiness Webinar. 1. What do you think is the most challenging aspect of raising capital for a small business?
Educating the banks to understand the industry and its financial nuances, such as understanding cash flow and debt structure to support a fleet of vehicles and servicing Fortune 500 companies that pay slow.
2. Why do small businesses struggle to effectively market their products/services?
Businesses struggle to market their products/services because the markets are always changing. I grew my business the first ten years with ads in the yellow pages. That does not work anymore. I think the next strategy to stop working was direct mail. Today, you can only market your business by effectively using the Internet, building personal relationships, networking and referrals (in my industry.) Another major challenge is tracking ROI!
