Please accept our apologies for the slowness of our DNS services on April 21st 2009. We work very hard to deliver on the promise of providing the best services at all times and we realize we did not meet our service assurance to some of the internet users in this instance. The issue had caused a delay in DNS queries. We estimate that around 8% of our normal traffic was impacted and in some cases delivery of email was delayed. We would like to assure you that no email was lost during this time.
We will complete our examination of the root cause of this issue and post an update here.
We regret the interruption and will continue to work hard to prevent any such future events. In the last few years we have devoted significant resources to upgrading our technology and services to provide you with uninterrupted service.
We thank all the customers and the community for their feedback to us through our support channels, Twitter and blog posts.

You may notice slowness in DNS queries for sites hosted by Network Solutions (When someone types a domain name into a browser and the website will come up slowly or temporarily not resolve). We are working to speed-up the queries and will have an update as soon as things are back to normal.
