Search Engine Optimization is the alchemy of the technology business. It requires the knowledge of many disciplines (copywriting, marketing, web design), a near obsession with algorithms and puzzles (gotta beat Google) and a little magic. They say that to become a master or virtuoso of something (like the violin) it takes about 10 years with practicing four hours a day (no weekends or holidays). This equals 14,600 hours to become a virtuoso in something.
Luckily, SEO is not medicine, music or law but it takes dedication every day to keep up with trends and changes to the search market landscape to keep your business relevant to search engines. It took me about two minutes to get the concept ofSearch Engine Optimization, but 18 months to really understand it and implement it effectively.
