Blog World and New Media Expo Merge for 2009 Event
January 2, 2009 :: Steve FisherRecently, BlogWorld and New Media Expo announced they were merging for the 2009 conference season and it will be one really awesome event.
You will remember that at Blog World 2008, Shashi Bellamkonda, Social Media Swami & me, Steve Fisher, headed to Las Vegas for BlogWorld Expo. I am meeting them there & we will be covering the event that features THE best in the blogging world.
The 2008 BlogWorld & New Media Expo was “The first and only industry-wide tradeshow, conference, and media event dedicated to promoting the dynamic industry of blogging and new media.” It is the largest blogging conference in the world with more than 50 seminars, panel discussions & keynotes.
Well known speakers included: Stephanie Agresta, Chris Brogan, David Berkowitz, Rohit Bhargava, Michael Brito, Toby Bloomberg, Paul Chaney, Frank Eliason of ComCastCares, Jason Falls, Tim Ferriss, Laura Fitton, Shama Hyder, Tris Hussey, Guy Kawasaki, Lee LeFever, Becky McCray, Jake McKee, Lionel Menchaca, Scott Monty, Hugh McLeod, Jeremy Pepper, Steve Rubel, Robert Scoble, Brian Solis, Liz Strauss, Mario Sundar, Robyn Tippins, Kristie Wells … and the list goes on!
I met Darren Rowse, ProBlogger from Australia & Nicole Simon who came in from Germany. And..Patrick O’Keefe the author of “Managing Online Forums: Everything You Need to Know to Create and Run Successful Community Discussion Boards” was also there.
We are looking forward to this 2009 event to be bigger and better now that they are together.
